1907 Foursquare Powder Room
These clients wanted to restore what they fondly referred to as “the outhouse,” a back porch closet with a toilet, typical for an era which deemed indoor toilets unhygienic. The clients also gave us the additional challenge of adding a sink to this literal closet, but when they showed us a photo of the vessel they wanted to use what we identified as a “spitter” used in an early 20th-century gymnasium we found a way to make it work. Their innovative find and our plumbing strategy exemplifies the creative culminations possible in our collaborations with clients.
